Carrying conventional rapid centrifuge rotors with speeds of up to 18,000 rpm producing 47,900xg, the J2-HC runs the largest swinging bucket rotor. Equipped with color-coded modular adapters, the Beckman J2-HC centrifuge can accommodate virtually every tube size from 1.5 mL to 100 mL, with diameters ranging from 10-mm to 44-mm. The bottle sleeves also support a variety of bottles from 230 mL to 750 mL with round, flat or conical bottoms, while its microplate carriers are interchangeable with the buckets of JS-4.3, letting you spin four six-well tissue culture plates or up to eight double stacked 96-well plates per run. This Beckman centrifuge model is designed for added laboratory safety. The centrifuge provides automatic shutdown should overtemperature condition is reached. In the event of rotor imbalance, the system automatically shuts down to protect sample, instrument, and operator. The Beckman J2-HC centrifuge is also equipped with an electronic door interlock ensures that the chamber door is securely locked before a run can begin, and remains locked during the course of the run.
