If you are looking at this, you know why you need one! Where do you put the frames when you have more than one out of the hive? I don't know about you, but this is the only practical solution. It is far more convenient than toting around an entire empty super and it also lets you hang the frames and then look at them from the side (to find the queen, for instance): something you can't do with an empty super.
