Hello, you are looking at a Berger Instruments 54-200BN Transit-Level.  As stated in the conditions:  The tool seems to be in great condition for it's age, very little signs of wear on the tool itself and the case, seems pretty good too, just dusty.  Everything seems to swivel and spin the way it is supposed to, however, I am fairly unfamiliar with this particular variety of instrument, therefore the tool is sold as is and is otherwise untested.  The screw just below the 360 degree disk has a bow in it, just as that adjustment reaches the end of it's throw (bow is just beyond the usable length of the screw anyway).  I'm not sure if it is supposed to be like that, I see no stretch in the threads.  Supposed to be or not, I find it to be a helpful indication of how many revolutions are made when turning the screw (see photos).  I am fairly unfamiliar with this particular variety of transit, and because of that I have not been able to test the accuracy myself and the tool will be sold "as is".  However, based on it's overall nice condition, I suspect that a basic recalibration service would have it in dialed in to it's original accuracy.  Besides, instruments like this are generally suggested to be cleaned and recalibrated once a year.  I hope this instrument can find a proper place in your inventory, happy bidding!
