BICRON ANALYST Radiation Detection Equipment WITH Ludlum 44-6 Probe Powers On I opened and took out the battery (no corrosion) and tested with new battery (removed ships with 9V).  The battery indicator worked and the HV (what ever that is) also indicated. Looks clean and good inside.  The outside chrome frame and case are in good vintage condition, showing some scuffs, etc.  Previous owner scratched with a ballpoint pen, on the area where the needle stops when on "HV" position. Handwritten label indicates this was last calibrated in 1983.  All the knobs seem fine.  I think this is very rare to find the probe (wand).  The probe brand is Ludlum, Model 44-6.  Plugs in fine to this probe port.  When I placed my finger close to the scanning area on the wand, I heard a slight click.  I'm thinking that just indicates that it is searching for radiation? I listed type as scintillation please let me know if I am correct or wrong. I was just not sure. Selling AS IS AS Pictured.
