Vintage typesetting / printing block with a pony-tailed girl in a bikini with a dust broom sweeping.  While you might think this was for a household cleaning product ad, it actually was for The American Mine Door Company of Cleveland advertising its One Sweep track cleaner.  Featuring two blocks, which would have been for two-color printing. The big block is 7 inches x 5 inches by 1. Used, with remnants of ink. American Mine Door Company is still around, beginning in Cleveland, Ohio in 1906. They of course make doors for mining operations, and in the early 1940s introduced automatic railroad track cleaners, created for coal mines. Tracks in coal mines would accumulate coal dust build-up, and that slowed the mine cars and required a lot of maintenance. Unlike the typesetting block suggests, women in bikinis did not sweep the tracks, but in the 1940s a crazy looking machine could.
