Binocular Indirect Ophthalmoscope -Made in India- It is an equipment which is being used to visualize the interior of the eye (retina of the eye). It consists of a adjustable head-mounted headband & halogen light source. The patient is positioned so that the patient's eye, the lens and the observer's eye are in a straight line. The instrument is used to diagnose various retinal pathologies like retinal detachment etc, and also to treat them. Halogen Binocular Indirect Ophthalmoscope is an excellent instrument for all standard applications, as well as with uncooperative pediatric patients & in cases where the papillary diameter is less than 4mm.
