Up for sale is this "BIO-RAD" Model 450 Microplate Reader unit. The serial number is "11023" and it comes with 100/120 volt power cord. It also comes with original boxed 3-ring bound owner's manual. There is also a light-bulb, roll of reader paper, fuses and what looks like a lens. The machine measures 12" by 8-1/2" and stands 5" tall. Heavy for it's size, just over 15 pounds. I have no idea how this unit works. I have plugged it in and powered it up. The fan runs and the display lights for a second or two. None of the buttons seemed to to anything when pushed and there is a high pitch wine that might be the fan motor. Unit is in great physical shape with no signs of misuse or abuse. Looked over pretty good and saw no broken parts inside or out. That's the extent of what I can tell you about it. Oh yeh, comes with original plastic cover.
