Hello!  Up for auction is a vintage piece of history (almost as old as me) - the IBM Selectric II typewriter!  Like VCR's, you really don't see these being made anymore thanks to newer technology.  Computers have pretty much taken over most of our word processing and entertainment needs, but if you're a collector and/or mechanically-minded person who loves to restore/work on these machines, then this is for you!  The last time I checked (which was about 2 years ago) it seemed to power on - I could detect a steady hum, but none of the keys demonstrated any responsiveness.  Anyway if you can't bring this back from the brink of death perhaps you can re-purpose the parts for other like-minded machines.   Thanks for stopping by.  Please let me know if you have any quesitons and I'll do my best to answer (I honestly don't know much about this as it was passed on to me and then stored away).  Take care and be safe!
