This is a rare opportunity to own a good American made square at a great price. This listing is for a square with cosmetic imperfections-the kind that might occur with normal use. This square is manufactured in the USA by Products Engineering Corporation (PEC Tools), one of the last US precision manufacturing companies. PEC quality standards are quite high. Many squares did not not meet these quality standards and are now for sale as cosmetic seconds or “blems” at a deep discount. Most have scratches, discoloration or other blemishes. In addition, the name brand on each blade has been ground off. PEC makes and brands rules for numerous other tool companies, so remnants of other tool names may remain on the blade. The baked on finish on the heads might be blue, grey or black. The accuracy is good and will function accurately as precision measuring tools. We guarantee that the length and graduations will be accurate and that it will be a usable, fully functional measuring device. This square is used by metal and woodworkers alike. Squares are made in the USA by Products Engineering Corporation (PEC Tools) a premier US tool manufacturer. It has a hardened and tempered no-glare satin chrome finished steel blade with 1/8” and 1/16” markings on one side of the blade and 1/32” and 1/64” markings on the other. Blade markings are precision photo etched and then black filled for easy readability. The blade is 1” wide by .085” thick. It has a blue baked-on finish on a machined cast iron head with an integrated spirit level. Head is 3/4" thick, 3 1/2" wide and 4 3/4" tall. The center finder is 3 1/2" wide and 3 1/2" tall. Protractor is reversible and is a full 7" long and 3 1/2" wide and comes with a built-in level.
