These laboratory grade grinding mills are used to intensively grind and homogenize laboratory size samples of geologic, cement, refractory, and ceramic solids to a powder of analytical fineness in a very short time. This particular model is ideal for labs processing many samples where speed and reproducibility have become a necessity. The Bleuler is designed such that a cup containing the sample, a puck, an anvil ring, and a lid is quick-latched into a dished platform that is held by three rubber columns. The motor, connected with an elastic coupling, drives the platform in an eccentric motion, causing the ring and puck to move likewise and crush the sample by impact and attrition. It is a simple, safe, and durable machine that allows for consistent, analytical grade powder generation. This item is Government of Alberta surplus and is in pristine operational condition with very few hours of use - it does have some very minor wear - some dents and dings to the stainless top cover and some wear to the cap lock arms (primarily the bronze wear plates which are designed to wear). It functions perfectly. It is a 110V, 60 Hz, single phase model (so no additional heavy power needs to be added to your facility). It comes equipped with a 100 gram chrome alloy steel grinding set. In addition to the standard steel grinding set, this item includes the optional ($5,000+) 100 gram tungsten grinding set - a much more durable set designed for grinding samples of greater hardness or for improved longevity.
