THESE WOULD BE PERFECT FOR THE GUYS WEARING CHEATERS THAT CAN'T FIT ANYTHING ELSE INTO THEIR HOOD ALREADY, OR ANYONE WANTING THE EFFECT OF A DROP IN LENS, BUT AT A LOWER COST. *COBALT BLUE* Glass has been used for CENTURIES by glass blowers, glass workers, metal smiths, welders and anyone else who utilized high temperature flame for it's ability to filter and remove infrared and the yellows, oranges and reds from the visible spectrum of light wavelengths. THESE COBALT BLUE SAFETY GLASSES PERFORM EXACTLY THAT SAME FUNCTION. Cobalt Blue Welders Safety glasses. These things are amazing performing the same function as a Super Blue drop in lens, eliminating the yellow and orange light waves to the visible eye thereby almost completely removing the "flare" associated with most arc welding processes. WEAR EM WITH ANY HOOD, AUTO OR PASSIVE AND SEE THE DIFFERENCE. *WEAR THEM WHILE FLAME CUTTING, ELIMINATING THE EXCESS INFRARED FLARE AND SEE THE DIFFERENCE* These lenses add about a full noticeable shade, But don't darken the pool so much that it will keep you from seeing the work, but make the clarity of the welding pool and crater exceptional!!! They perform exactly the same function as the blue drop in lenses..... but instead of adding it to your hood, you wear em on your face!!! BUT, like any other awesome safety glasses they can and will walk off if you don't watch em. They also are not indestructible. They WILL scratch, pit and cloud up if not properly cared for. Care for these the same way you would a drop-in lens. They come with a nice protective case... USE IT.
