I am selling blueprints for building your own heavy duty hay feeder which will accommodate round bales that can weigh up to 2000LBS. This unit weighs, when finished, 420 LBS.  This unit is engineered to stay in service up to and beyond a 20 year period. Because of the pulling lugs at each end of the unit, it can be shackled and pulled up to 5 hayracks at a time, because of skid plates on the bottom. This allows you to move the hay feeder from one location to another, to assure that your livestock will be standing in a dry location. Because of the unique design, this hay feeder has a very minimal amount of hay waste plus it keeps the hay off the ground eliminating the hay from contracting mold and mildew which is a problem associated with the old round tubed hay rings. This list of material provided with the drawings will allow the farmer to purchase standard steel pieces at a cost of less than $200 per hayrack. With a little elbow grease and ingenuity, these hay feeders can be sawed, drilled, welded and assembled in a short amount of time and should save the farmer up to $1200 per hayrack, by making them himself.
