This is a gently used Boekel Scientific Incubator from an active doctor's office where it was in full working order. The unit has been turned on and seems to work perfectly. The indicator light lights up when the unit is on (see picture 3), and the internal fan starts immediately and is extremely quiet. The temperature climbs normally. There are what appear to be very slight oxidation stains on the bottom of the unit, and also on the inside shelves, which can easily be replaced. There is a very small plastic piece at the top of the unit which has broken off, but looks as though it can be easily glued back together. From the Boekel Scientific website: Boekel CCC line of Analog Incubators are manufactured in the US from 22 Ga steel, and the exterior is powder coated for scratch and stain resistance. The interior is easy-to-clean aluminum. Available in four sizes from 0.5 to 5.0 cu. ft. chambers. All analog incubators come with a thermometer as a standard accessory and have at least one adjustable shelf. Depending on chamber size, several removable or adjustable shelves are also available. Temperature ranges are now expanded to go from ambient +10 to 90°C. Each incubator has a blower fan to improve the heating and stability of the desired temperature. All units include a digital laboratory timer. The Boekel CCC Analog Incubators use a hydraulic thermostat for control of temperature and a separate on/off switch. The 115 volt analog incubators meet UL and CSA requirements and all 230 volt units are CE marked. Ideal for a wide range of applications including culturing, bacteriology, warming of samples, E. coli tests, diagnostic protocols for water, wastewater, food and beverage testing, clinical, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, and biotech testing these robust incubators are designed for use in universities and schools with biology and microbiology labs.
