This is such as unusual item, I will describe it as best I can and those who collect these period machines will hopefully recognize it. This equipment is called the Gem Duplicator manufactured by the Bond Equipment Company of St. Louis MO and it has been in my family since the 1950s. Back then it was used by my parents for its intended purpose, and all parts appear to be intact. These include the original instruction book and "Scrap Book" published by the company to suggest artwork and phrases for advertising postcards (the Scrap Book alone is a fascinating piece of Americana!), as well as the metal printing mechanism and pad, a brush with a detachable wooden handle, and a stylus with what looks like a bakelite (untested) handle. There are also 2 original packages of the film used in the duplication process. The box lid is missing one side but the original box is otherwise intact (measures approx 7" square). A unique piece of Americana! Please feel free to ask me all questions before bidding as this sale is final. Thank you.
