The "old leather" design is made to look worn. There are slight wrinkles/marks on front that are barely noticeable. If memory serves, it more or less came that way in keeping with the intended patina. Received as a Christmas gift in 2007 and utilized for only about a month or less. I kept it in its original box ever since. When you open it, you can tell it still has a new feel and aroma. Interior features a large center pen-holder, a side insert on right for a notepad, and 2 small + 1 large inserts on left (including a window-insert.) Interior features a tooled leather "Bosca" and crown logo. Included is a the Bosca guarantee card which states, "In the event a repair is required as a result of a material or manufacturing defect, we will repair or replace the item free of charge."
