Overview for the Bosch BT170 Heavy Duty Aluminum Tripod The Bosch BT170 Heavy Duty Aluminum Tripod is a stronger, more solid upgrade to the popular Bosch BT160 Aluminum Quick Clamp Tripod model. The BT170 also features quick clamps for fast adjustments and secure locking. Heavy gauge aluminum and powder painted casting give the Bosch BT170 Tripod its ultra-durable frame. Its legs are double branded for extra stability, with sharp feet that prevent slippage on any surface. When closed, the Bosch Heavy Duty Aluminum Tripod is 42" (1.07m) tall and when fully extended it reaches 65" (1.65m). A standard 5/8" x 11 thread on the flat head allows you to attach a range of construction lasers and leveling equipment from most manufacturers. The Bosch Heavy Duty Tripod's hinges are secured with screws rather than rivets.
