The Bosch NDN-498V09-21P FlexiDome2X Day/Night IP Camera is a vandal-resistant, network dome camera suitable for day & night operation, and features a varifocal lens. With a 1/3" progressive scan CCD, the camera unit produces motion blur-free video in daylight whereas the 9-22mm zoom lens takes care of varied area of coverage. 20-bit digital signal and image processing augments this CCTV camera's ability by revealing details in video image. While the NDN-498V09-21P camera switches automatically from day-mode to night mode and vice versa, its NightSense feature in conjunction with SensUp dynamic enables moonlight-viewing (up to 0.0099 lux in monochrome) by increasing the sensitivity of the IP camera. On the other hand, the 2X-Dynamic Engine produces images with high dynamic range from high-contrast daylight visuals. In tricky backlit situations, the network camera's SmartBLC feature compensates for strong back light in order to reproduce a clear view of subject in the foreground. Autoblack feature helps to look through low-contrast scenes due to foggy or smoky weather. IP 66 (NEMA-4X) standard water resistance makes the NDN-498V09-21P camera ideal for outdoor use while the unit's cast aluminum casing, polycarbonate dome and hardened inner liner withstand up to the equivalent of 120 lb (55kg) force, making it suitable for security surveillance. Six pre-programmed operating modes are available for individual situations, and the modes are fully programmable. Private Masking feature of the NDN-498V09-21P allows masking/blocking of four different privacy zones or specific parts of a scene which can be pre-programmed by the users. The NDN-498V09-21P camera can simultaneously output two H.264 video streams along with one M-JPEG stream onto a network. The latter stream can further be integrated with third-party JPEG or M-JPEG-compatible video management systems. Captured video content can be accessed in a variety of ways such as using a web browser on a PC, with VIDOS or Bosch Video Management Systems (BVMS), or with Bosch's DiBos Digital Video Recorder. Basic video content analysis features are integrated into the camera via the Motion+ video analysis system that incorporates a motion analysis algorithm which provides object size filtering and advanced tamper detection capabilities. Three power options - PoE (Power-over-Ethernet), 24 VAC, and 12 VDC increase its flexibility, and a UPS can also be used for continuous operation even during a power failure. The NDN-498V09-21P can be configured either over IP or by using on-body control buttons. When a new firmware becomes available, the FlexiDome camera can be remotely upgraded without a need to uninstall it physically. The NDN-498V09-21P conforms to the Open Network Video Interface Forum (ONVIF) specification for smooth interoperability between network video products.
