REPAIR YOUR BOURG COLLATOR OVER THE PHONE OR YOUR MONEY BACK I have been earning my living by performing field service on Bourg collators and accessories since 1985. 99% of the time I can tell the cause of the problem within 10 minutes of discussion with the operator. 75% of the time the repair is "clean this" or "turn that". And 90 % of the time I can direct the operator through the repair. (OK, the percentages are guesses). Truth is, I can do the job without leaving my home -- If customers would pay me for that Therein has been the big question. Will people pay for this. Especially without ever having met me. These auctions were meant to answer that question. After all, They cost me next to nothing, and your risk is about the same (Did I say or your money back?). It seems as though this is an idea that people are liking. For $10 you get my 20 plus years of experience. If it takes 5 minutes, you are up and running (and I hope happy). If it takes all afternoon, at least the price will not change. There are however some projects that are too complex or dangerous for the inexperienced. In those cases I will refund your money. If I can not live up to my end of the bargain, I will refund your money. Parts will cost extra. You can get them from me, or any local supplier you choose. Let's face it, if I can do what I say, you would be willing to pay a lot more than I am asking. You are probably paying $80-$120 per hour right now for field service, plus travel, and waiting a few days for a tech to arrive. Then maybe have to wait for him to order a part that your local electronics shop had all along. Not to mention if you buy a collator on Ebay your local dealer may not be very cooperative. All right, enough hype. Here is what you have to do: Pay for the service (of course) Have the operator, the phone, and basic tools (including metric Allen wrenches) near the machine.
