We have 31 Years experience in the air compressor industry and in providing QUALITY air compressors. Power supply is 208/220/460V, 3-Phase – must specify when ordering what voltage is needed. BUYER BEWARE - You will see many rotary screws on the market claiming a high CFM and over rating their machine so the customer thinks they are getting more than they really are. The customer is very vulnerable and has no way of knowing the CFM they are claiming is true or not. The best way for you as the customer to compare units from different manufacturers is to get the pump-up time in writing from 0-145 PSI on a 120-gallon tank. By getting the pump-up time from 0-145 PSI on a 120-gallon tank you can compare the pump-up times to our Eaton Unit and if the CFM that they are claiming is much higher than ours, their pump-up time should be much faster. For example, you see Rotary Screw companies (smaller names) claiming 500 CFM on a 100 HP unit. This is not true. All rotary screws are in the 1% +/- what our CFM is on our screw. It takes so much brake HP on a screw per HP to make the CFM and when you see screw companies of different names claiming a higher CFM per brake HP, the customer is getting cheated. With Eaton Compressor, you can count on our CFM's to be exact and true - WE PUT THEM IN WRITING. If you look at the brand name compressors, they are basically pretty close to the truth and you will see that our unit will stay with any unit on the market when you compare HP to HP. With Eaton Compressor, we are a 30-year company that has been building compressors with a name you can trust and we back it in writing. Please send us the pump-up time from the competition and we will give you our pump-up time to compare. This unit has a Free Air CFM of 423.6 @ 100 PSI. SUPER quiet – 80 dba.- sound comparison to a hair dryer. Unit has NPT 2” ball valve outlet. Don't be tricked by companies offering "free freight". They are really stripping a lot of features off of the unit and in real terms, you ARE paying for the freight and getting less for your money. This unit is recommended hooking into a 660-gallon tank or larger. This unit features hundreds and hundreds of dollars in options that you will not find on a unit at this price. The Eaton Compressor Rotary Screw is good for 70,000 running hours as long as the unit is maintenanced properly. Many of our customers that call us ask us about Rotary Screw Compressors and do not understand what makes them different from other units – piston type. Our low RPM piston-type compressor is good for many thousands of hours, but must maintain a maximum duty cycle range – maximum duty cycle on a low RPM piston machine is 80/20. We see our name-brand competitors offering 100% duty cycle on a high RPM piston pump. This is not possible for many years of use. With a piston-type machine (low RPM of 600-800), you can run up to 80% duty cycle. With the high RPM machines, 1,000 RPM’s and faster are not possible for 100% duty cycle because they are air cooled machines. The valves get very hot from lots of friction in combination with high RPM. Since most piston machines are air cooled, the valves on the intake and exhaust do not cool out properly. Most of the machines that advertise 100% duty cycle might make it out of the warranty if used hard every day. The only piston machine that can be ran 100% duty cycle is a water-cooled machine-not air cooled. With the Rotary Screw, it is a totally different story because the Rotary screw compressor does not use intake and exhaust valves. It has 2 helical-cut rotors that fit together in very close tolerances. They are flooded with oil injection. The oil injection sprays oil directly onto the rotors and roller bearings. This cools the screw very efficiently. The air and oil are mixed together. Then they are ran through the oil separation process. There is a coalescing filter built into the small air tank. This filter separates the oil and air mixture down to 3 ppm (parts per million). The oil separated air is then ran through an air-cooled aluminum aftercooler. This aluminum aftercooler pulls a tremendous amount of heat off the air on the output side. The air coming off of this is made to go directly into any refrigerant dryer or desiccant dryer without having an air cooled intercooler. This is because this unit has extra large aftercooler for high moisture surroundings. This unit has a high volume exhaust fan that not only cools the exhaust air, but puts air through the oil cooler. The oil cooler is a separate radiator that cools the synthetic oil and recirculates it back to the air oil tank. This unit has a built-in thermostatic oil valve. This controls the heat in the oil. It is very important that the oil is not cooled down too much because of condensation build up. This thermostat will control the air temperature between 150-180o helping to prevent water condensation in the synthetic oil. What makes this machine 100% duty cycle is that the oil that is injected into the screw for lubrication is also helping to cool it down because the oil is getting into every nook and cranny and pulling the heat off of the screw rotors and then the oil is cooled through an oil cooler. This oil after oil separation is then returned back to the oil sump and repeats this process thousands and thousands of times in a 24-hour period. With a screw machine, it is made for 24 hours/day, 7 days/week operation. This unit is controlled by a PLC (Programmable Logistic Controller). This controller makes this unit bullet proof. It has a low-oil shutdown. If the controller senses that the unit is going into high temperature, it will shut it down. The controller will also shut the unit down if it runs low in oil. This controller will control when the unit is wired up if it is running backwards, it will sense a reverse rotation fault and shut the unit down. This unit also has a high voltage fault. If the voltage is 15% over the power supply voltage rated on the Eaton Compressor Data Plate, the unit will shut down. Also, if the voltage is 15% under, it will shut it down also. This Eaton Controller also has an over-amp shutdown if the motor is pulling too many amps. This set up is very nice because you can go into the menu and check the amp draw on the electric motor as it is running and also on the exhaust fan motor. This amperage can be set by you, the customer, on the controller PLC board. This unit has a shutdown in case the unit goes over pressure. This unit has a maximum pressure setting – the computer will sense that it is going over pressure and will shut it down. This unit will save you hundreds on your electric bill because under start up the modulator valve is completely closed. This closes the air off to the screw intake making low load under start up. After the unit gets started, it has a 12-second time delay. This allows the unit to get running for 12 seconds before it starts pumping air. This makes no load starting and will save your magnetic starter contactor and motor because of low amp draw. This unit has a Y Delta Starting capability. This makes the unit start in segments. The motor will start with only part of the motor being started. After 4 seconds time delay, then another segment of the motor comes in. This will also save you big on your electric bill because you are not getting the peak amperage all at once because the motor is started in segments. This PLC has a built-in clock with the date and time. This makes it nice when you maintenance your machine. You can keep track of the PM (preventative maintenance) of the time and day that you serviced it. This PLC also has a built-in light for dark locations. This PLC has a maintenance parameter. This machine has a built-in hour meter keeping track of the running hours on this machine. This PLC controls and keeps track of the maintenance time for each maintenance service that is needed on this unit such as it will keep track of when to change the air filter on the maintenance menu. It will keep track of when the oil filter needs changed and also keep track of when the coalescing filter needs changed. When the unit needs greased, it will track of that also. When each item needs changed when the service hours come up, the PLC will sound an alarm and on the digital screen it will tell you what needs changed. After changing it, you will go back into the PLC and put the time of the particular item that you changed back to zero. This will start a new maintenance time and keep track of when your filter needs changed the next time. This unit has a wide range of air differential between pressure controlled by the PLC. You can take the kick-in pressure all the way down to 100 PSI and all the way up to 145 PSI. You can adjust this range in where in between. You can also set the high end down to a lower pressure where ever the customer unit pressure is desired. The Eaton Factory setting is 120 kick in and 145 kick out. The lower the pressure, the higher the CFM and the more hours you will get on your screw compressor air end. The higher the pressure, the more wear you will put on your screw compressor, so keep the pressure as low as possible. This unit has a built-in timer. This will sense when the unit is not being used for a period of 20 minutes under no load. This will shut down the machine automatically so it will restart as air pressure goes down to the kick-in set point. This unit has an on-line demand setting. This setting is made for high air volume and will bypass the automatic kick-off timed mode. It will keep the unit running on continuous run mode for high air demand. This is also controlled by the PLC. This unit features: all cast iron oil-flooded rotary screw pump good for up to 70,000 running hours, hardened steel rotors and roller bearings for long compressor life, high quality shaft seal to seal the front shaft from oil leakage, high quality, long-life modulation valve, built-in aluminum after cooler and oil cooler combined with a TEFC cooling fan motor, 4 pre-mounted rubber mounts under the screw pump to absorb any vibration, all brass 1” ball valve, high quality pressure lube spin-on oil filter (easy to change), 4,000 hour synthetic oil (no start-up kit required), TEFC (totally enclosed external fan cooled- NOT open drip proof – this motor is made for dusty conditions-it is totally enclosed so dirt particals will not get into the inner windings of the motor making it easy to maintenance your motor-this motor is 1.25 service factor, the best in the business), all Internal stainless steel braided air and oil lines, heavy-duty all metal frame, heavy-duty all easy-to-remove access doors with a push of your finger-easy latch, each door has sound proof material for ultra quiet operation, very heavy-duty oil and air tank with ASME code safety valve, all UL/CSA compliant on electrical components, push-button emergency stop, and Eaton PLC controlled micro processor.
