Item listed is a Used Briggs & Stratton 5hp Horizonal Shaft Engine. This has been checked over. This has Electronic Ignition, a new Carburetor Diaphragm, Fuel Tank Gasket, Sump Cover Gasket, Pull Rope, and Air Filter Element have been installed. The Valve Tolerances have been checked and are within spec. The Gas Tank is Clean, the internal components are in good used condition and the crankcase was clean. I believe this engine had a New Short Block installed as the block itself was silver. There's still a cross-hatch/hone pattern present in the cylinder, this has been run/used prior to when I got it. The engine burns clean, does not smoke and has good healthy compression. This starts up and runs well cold or warm, runs smoothly in all speed ranges and idles nicely. The Speed Control and Shut-off is set up for a Remote Cable that attaches under the Gas Tank (typical for these engines), there is also a stud that a Remote Kill wire can be attached to. *Engine has been properly cleaned, scuffed/sanded, etch-primed and painted. *Please note the oil fill plug is on the gas tank side only. The Crankshaft is 3/4" diameter and is 2&1/4" long. There is a 5/16 fine thread hole drilled/tapped in the Crankshaft.
