This is just so pretty! It's a bright brass look server with a black wooden handle going out the side. I believe it's to serve coffee from a big urn and take it to the table to pour into cups. It has a very slight dent in the spout, but no other flaws, and holds about 6 cups of liquid. It would be an elegant way to serve coffee at a dinner party, and with the handle going out the side, it simplifies the task of pouring into multiple cups. We found it at an estate sale in Southwestern Michigan with a lot of other very nice old unusual things.. Size: The pot measures 8" tall to the top of the knob on top of the lid. Across the wide bottom it's 5" in diameter. Condition: one edge of the spout is very slightly bent and there are some small rub marks, and some small dark spots that just might polish off.
