eppendorf 5416 You're bidding on an Eppendorf 5416 Benchtop Centrifuge ! The Eppendorf 5416 is a benchtop centrifuge with a digital display and a 100-15000 RPM range. This centrifuge features a brushless induction motor and a stainless steel rotor chamber. Eight different rotors are available to allow use in a wide range of applications. It has microprocessor controls for accurate and reproducible runs, and a rotor detection system that automatically senses the rotor type and displays the maximum allowable speed. A soft start function is available to protect delicate samples, and a momentary button allows quick spins. Safety features include an imbalance detector and a lid interlock. This unit was surplus from a lab and it is in very nice condition. It powers on and all of the functions are available and programmable, but it does not spin- there is no response when the start button is pressed. I removed the covers and inspected the unit, and it is clean and complete with no indication of liquid intrusion or damage, The gas strut that holds the lid open needs to be replaced.
