MOTOR BRUSH HOLDER SPRING FOR CLARKE SUPER 7-R AND SUPER E EDGERS PART # 50932A Secures the carbon brush in position in the brush holder assembly. This is ONE spring; the edger takes a total of 4 springs and 4 brushes. We also carry the full set of 4 springs at a discount. Find them here. This part is for newer style edgers. If you want to unroll the brush holder spring with your finger to check for cracks, do not unroll it more than halfway! More than that will ruin the spring! Install the brushes with the bevel of the brush facing towards the spring--in other words, the bevel should push the spring against the brass clip, not pull it away. If installed backwards, the spring may be damaged, and/or the brush may hang up. We also carry brushes (40818A) and the holder assembly (40130A) that go with this spring. Find them here.
