This reader has a longer swipe length which minimizes any errors when swiping cards. It contains a built-in rechargeable battery which will give up to 50 hours of continous use before requiring re-charging - that’s over 50,000 swipes! Also, the built-in automatic shutdown (user programmable) powers down the TA32 when it is idle to conserve battery power even longer. Re-charging is simple via the USB interface - the battery is fully charged in 2-3 hours. The faster data transfer rates using the USB interface allow for quick downloads with a minimum of hassles.
