FCI Burndy offers the Y1MRTC ratcheting crimp tool mechanical compression tool for crimping copper lugs, splices and C-Taps for #8 AWG - #1 AWG wire. Rotating die wheel holds six color-coded die nests - red/blue/gray/white/brown/green, whose codes are automatically embossed on the crimped connector. Features ratchet mechanism, emergency release mechanism and ergonomic design. #8 – #1 COPPER HYDENT TERMINALS, SPLICES, AND #6–#6 THIN-WALL C-TAPS Type Y1MRTC mechanical full cycle ratchet HYTOOL™ will accommodate copper compression HYDENT™ connectors for #8 through #1 code conductor, #8 through #2 Class I flexible strand copper conductor, and #2 solid. The color coded die wheel rotates to provide a proper match of the die and color coded connector. The die index is embossed on the crimped connector for permanent inspectability. A ratchet mechanism assures the tool must complete a full cycle before releasing.
