It powers up, and the digital display is bright and clear, and it responds to input from the controls. Also, I tested the output with my digital power meter (NOT included), and it did register output, and the output was adjustable. The Danger sticker on the laser head lists a max output of 30mW average at 700-1050nm, so I set my power meter around the middle at 875nm, and I got readings up to 9.88mW (please see photos above for detail). However, this is the extent of my testing of this system, and it is being sold as-is. Approximate overall unpacked dimensions: 13"L x 10"W x 7"H.
