TEK TDS3034B is aDigital Phosphor Oscilloscope. Latest C version costs over $20K new. This is a digital storage scope with variable persistence and can offer rep rate clues in the trace intensity or color. DSOs that aren't also DPOs operate at same intensity regardless of rep rate of signal, so no rep rate clues are offered in what we call "gray-scaling". DSOs that aren't also DPOs devote almost all their time and resources to AtoD conversion, leaving them with blind periods a significant fraction of the time (they can either sample or AtoD convert, but not both simultaneously). DPOs are far less likely to have blind periods due to excessively one-sided resource allocation (or inability to multi-task). This DPO can run 3600 acquisitions/second to avoid blind spots. BTW, analog scopes also have "blind" periods briefly during sweep retrace, and variably during "holdoff", if you choose it. The first Tek digital scopes to address the blind spot issue were the TDS700series of the mid-90s which called that feature "Instaview" before evolving to the DPO naming.   TDS3034B has 4 equally useful channels (unlike my signature 2465B whose first 2 are more versatile than its 3rd & 4th), displaying in 4 colors: yellow for 1, blue for 2, magenta for 3, cyan for 4. Each of the 4 has all usual coupling choices available, including 50 ohm terminators. Advantages of this scope over others I sell include: a) lightest weight: only 3Kg or 7 pounds (and smallest size), b) offers (optional) battery operation: besides being able to work away from line power, it also means easier floating (and breaking noisy ground loops), c) 10X longer record lengths than 2440, d) power for active probes is available at BNCs (as additional surrounding contacts), and e) more math (fast computational) capabilities (eg: multiplication as may be needed in power calculations). Unit offered for sale here is serial C010278 made in 2007, and has seen: 23000 hours of use. First 6 photos shows genera; condition.  7th shows sub-nanosecond risetime capability consistent with 300MHz scope.  8th photos show upper bandwidth is around 400MHz (30% vertical "deflection" loss, 3.5 div from 5 at LF) by displaying 2 equal amplitude (0.5Vpp) sines of 3MHz and 400MHz. 9th shows 1mS tickmarks from my TG501 displayed & measured correctly. 10th shows simultaneous 1mS and 100microsecond tickmarks from my Tek 184 time mark gen. This would be difficult to see on a cheaper/older DSO with less record length than 10Kpoints. 11th photo shows its math FFT (spectrum analyzer) looking at 1mS and .1 mS tickmarks (simultaneously). Since tickmarks are not sine, but impulses, they are harmonically rich, but not equally rich (2 sines waves' FFT would be just 2 vertical lines).   More details on these scopes is available on Tek's website, where you can also download manual, and various tech tips. Please note that the C version in current production uses thumb drive memory sticks instead of 3.5inch floppies, but the currently made C version costs around $20000 new (recently ended; makes mine at  1/12th Tek's price a bargain!). Diskettes can still be found, even on ebay, and if your computer is too new to have a floppy drive, external floppy drives with USB can be cheaply found (again on ebay), or I can send you 1 of mine. In case you are curious about what the B version (introduced in 2003) added (over the plain introduced in 1999), it was an ethernet connection in the rear, which can be used to remotely control the scope, and the free addition of (g) & (h). The C eliminated the front floppy as well as the rear 15V outlet and the Centronics D25 parallel printer port to run a small optional portable printer. The TDS3000 series has had a long 20 year run (longer than 2400s') and many working specimens corroborate their reliability (it is still recommended you source yours from a knowledgeable source, and with low hours).  At BIN, I will send you this calibrated TDS3034B with: apps (g) & (h), and 14 days guaranty. Tek recommends it not fly in cargo holds of aircraft but rather with passenger and in fairly discharged state); c) TDS3BAT NiCd battery for $125 (smaller capacity, older, heavier, but safer to fly); d) TDS3CHG fast charger for Li ion on NiCd battery for $120 (charges 6X faster than scope 4h vs 24h, works on any voltage between 100 and 250)- but you can have it FREE with purchase of TDS3BATC; e) Accessory tray and rear cover for $14 more; f) Front Cover for $60; g) TDS3TRG app module (adds some advanced trigger capability based on logic/pattern recognition); INCLUDED natively FREE with B, or for $55 more with plain; h) TDS3FFT app module (adds some frequency domain/spectrum analyzer capability); INCLUDED natively FREE with B, or for $65 more with plain; i) rackmounting cradle for $100 more; j) P6139A 500MHz 10:1 probes for $120/each; There are extras you could get for it elsewhere on ebay that I don't have (eg: active probes,..). Please don't make offers for less than $1600, and then only if you want the plain (which I have also listed)... Main reason for make offer button is to offer more to get more of the extras listed above. If the system stops you from offering more to get more, I will still sell you what you want.          Ask questions (in English or French).  It's a good way to discuss your exact needs, match you with correct package, options, accessories... before you hit BIN. Another advantage of buying from me is that I offer to replace the old Li battery backed timekeeping NVRAM, whereas others don't. It's not trivially simple or an end-user's task: instead of usual 2 terminals for a battery, the battery is embedded inside a soldered-in IC. This is not quite as urgent on this scope as on 2400s I sell which are about 15 years older, so you may be able to postpone this procedure for a few more years. Also, battery death in this scope does not cause calibration amnesia, but rather just loss of calendar and use clock memory, which is not very critical. Please make sure Ebay has your current correct address before you pay as that is where item must go. Mistakes are costlier to fix after you pay (as some of what you pay is forever lost to 3rd parties). There are no cash refunds, but only store credit. I ship worldwide. Ebay requires I ship only to your Ebay address with tracking and delivery confirmation, which International Airmail lacks, which is why it is not an option if you buy on Ebay. Ebay's Global Shipping, UPS (most expensive), DHL, and FEDEX (least expensive) are valid international options.  You get a 14 day right of exchange (or store credit), provided you return everything in same shape as found, tamper seals aren't breached, pack as well as I, and pay for all shipping. If you need guaranty extended beyond 14 days, expect to pay extra for that, though I doubt you really need it (has proven quite reliable thus far).    Ebay as a large e-commerce site, collects sales tax for many of the 50 States. I have no control over that. I don't charge sales tax on my own out-of-California sales. If you in AK, DE, FL, GA, KS, LA, MO, MS, NH, OR, or TN you don't have to worry about sales tax yet. If you are in the others and don't feel like paying a large sales tax, buy something cheap(er) from me first (eg: a probe) and a workaround the tax will present itself.  Also, the reason I cannot offer cash refunds is because ebay and its payments platforms define "full refund" differently. One considers a full refund to be all you paid, whereas the other considers a full refund to be all I got. The difference is in irreversible "frictional" losses: fees, shipping, & sales tax (which I don't see). I cannot "go into the hole" for you to return what I never saw in the first place, so please don't expect that, I can however offer store credit. The other reason for not offering cash refunds is that in a small business money gets spent as soon as it arrives. Please buy prudently, asking questions first.   I leave +feedback after you do.
