PLEASE CALL TREVOR @ 817.247.7336 FOR ALL INQUIRIES Modified by Texas Machine Tool in 2011 This Cambell grinding machine has been modified & retrofitted to grind connecting rods. The table operates as a rotary axis (C) in CNC mode & can be programmed as a typical rotary axis. As a PMC axis it has two modes: Ocillation & Spindle. In oscillation mode the table will oscilate a max of 220 deg. +/- 110 deg.  from top  center of the rod or to  the values set in PMC data D0 & D4. In spindle mode the table rotates continuously (360 deg.) at 20rpm. This mode is used to grind the top ring. The controlled axes are X, Z, C & E. The X axis traverses side to side & crosses machine zero at the centerline of the work fixture. The X position is positive to the right of zero & minus to the left.   The Z axis traverses up & down. Its reference is set at the spindle gage line 4.0000" above the fixture bottom face equal to 4.0000".   The C axis is a dual purpose axis. It is controlled by the NC & the PMC at different times in the rograms. This allows the axis to oscillate & rotate (M13 & M23) independent of the NC controlled axes. That is the interpolation of the C axis is independent of the standard axes interpolation. Once an oscillation or rotation  command (M13 or M23) is issued in Auto or MDI mode, the table will oscillate or run continuously regardless of modechange until there is a (M15 or M25) command executed in a NC program, the E-stop or the Reset push button. When a (M15 or M25) command is executed in a NC program, the control of the C axis is given back to the NC & will respond to standard axis commands.   E axis controls the tool magazine & will respond in manual & automatic mode the same as any other rotary axis. However, the E axis is not controlled from the remote hand wheel pendant.   All axis feedback devices are battery backed up absolute encoders or linear scales & only need to be rferenced (homed) once. Under normal operation, the axes will not need to be homed. However, if there is an interruption in the feed back cable or mechanical alteration, then the axes involved will need to be re-referenced. All equipment is sold “as is” with no warranty either written or implied. All specifications, accessories, standard or optional, are approximate. It is the Buyer’s responsibility to make a thorough inspection for verification
