It has a bed of premium Australian virgin coal. The filter can be used in conjunction with an in-line duct fan to act as an inlet and exhaust configuration. Rugged construction containing stainless steel flanges and double-sided aluminum mesh. Flanges can also be reversed to extend filter life. Includes a machine washable pre-filter cloth to avoid carbon residue. Premium quality carbon. Each carbon filter features a premium quality Australian virgin carbon bed with 1200 + IAV. Due to increased microporosity and graded surface area, we have been able to thicken the carbon bed to 1.496 in and increase the mesh open area to 55%. This combination not only allows for a higher absorption rate without restricting free air flow, but allows the carbon filter to last up to 33% longer.
