This is the amazing new Mini Urban Beehive, ornately carved with 2 bees and a magnolia, and an observation window.  This American-made hive has 20 hand-sized frames that are meant to be naturally formed - no plastics.  100% made of western red cedar, secured with Eco Bee Box's stainless steel locking clips, corners are Eco Bee Box's patent pending brackets which prevent warping and allow for repair.   This incredible beehive is made in the USA, designed in the USA, created in Utah, and will change the beekeeping industry.   This mini hive is ideal for raising new colonies called a nuc, creating and rearing local queens, is ideal for children and seniors, great for those with handicaps, and is an eye-piece for your landscaping.   Can be used as a swarm lure by baiting.   In Utah (known as a desert), these mini hives have produced 2 gallons of comb honey.  The honey can be harvested by cutting it out of the frame, placing it into a zip-loc baggy, squishing it, popping small holes in the bottom with a toothpick and letting the natural honey drain out.  EASY This hive is the size of feral hives, inside of a dead tree.  Instructional handouts will be included with the package, as well as a bees wax sheet used for priming the frames.   An incredible beehive geared toward saving bees through educating beekeepers.  This education includes how to naturally raise a queen (done by the bees since T-Rex walked the earth), how to feed and protect the bees while young, and how to raise strong vibrant colonies from almost nothing.   Swarming and mites:  the bees will grow to fill this hive and produce honeycomb.  The honeycomb can be harvested until late summer, allowing the bees room to further expand.  They need room to use their fat (bees wax) to form cells, to store honey or babies.  These boxes can be separated and each time this is done, new queens are created.  Mites have a difficult time in this hive due to: one, not having cells/larva to incubate with while the queen is forming; two, while a young colony the focus is to rear a new queen so the beekeeper is taught to feed them and meet all their needs, this prevents bees from bringing in mites from other colonies or flowers; three, with mites extinguished all the diseases associated with the mites are absent as well.   This system is for learning to raise honeybees, and producing honeycomb and for garden pollination.  It is for those that want to learn how to save bees by proper caring practises of the beekeeper.  Bees know what to do, we need to learn what they need first.  Big hives have LOTS of bees and cost lots, and can be extremely intimidating. Hives that claim honey will flow once a crank is turned, fail to realize the bees must survive inside the hive first.  This system does not kill bees when harvesting.  It is as simple as removing frames of honey.  The Mini Urban Beehive is much less threatening than large beehives, and most fall in love with it both in beauty and simplicity.
