For sale is one factory sealed case of McCormick Scientific Leica Paraplast X-tra, tissue embedding media that clears completely without stainable residue. Made from a unique blend of low molecular weight polymers and paraffin, Paraplast® X-tra has a lower infiltration temperature that eliminates tissue “cooking,” which can cause distortion. Lower viscosity permits complete infiltration, and gives exceptional ribbon continuity with flat sections free of compression distortions. Melting point: 50 to 54°C (122 to 129°F) (ASTM). Packed in 1kg (2.2lbs.) bags of pellets. We believe this is also sold under Fisher Scientific FSC12646106 but it is not marked as such. McCormick Scientific Model: 39503002.
