I had this Cash Drawer in my Cricket store. I used the push button to open it. You can hook it up to a computer with the rj11 jack so it will open remotely from your POS software. You need to have a older thermal printer to get this to work or older cash system. This used to be the standard before usb cash drawers came out. You can buy a DB-9 adaptor. This converts the rj11 to serial on the pc to open remotely . This Cash Drawer works great in a retail store. I used it for three years.
