For sale is a small, cast iron paper cutter (or guillotine) manufactured by the "Michael Lith Sales Corp". Blade guard is stamped "Made in France". Max cut width is 8.75" and probably weighs around 50 lbs. or less.  - The cutter was significantly rusty, and paint was flaking off so I chose to fully clean and repaint.  - The blade needs to be sharpened, and is currently not installed on the cutter (for safety and to allow for sharpening). - Additionally you'll need a cutting stick approximately 11/16" x 11/16" x 9" - (an oak dowel was previously used). - The handle that brings down the blade moves away from the cutter, and therefore the guillotine will need to be fixed to a sturdy table surface. - It does have a very simple safety latch (attached to the handle - can be see in the photos) however you may want to manufacture a blade guard that   prevents a complete drop down of the blade as additional safety. - I would hold onto it, however, I really don't have a use for a paper cutter this small. Would be great for individuals with small table top presses, or      craft studios needing a tiny guillotine.  *Note* you will need to sharpen and install the blade prior to use, it's a very simple device and blade installation is super easy.  Local pickup in Elkins, West Virginia - Thanks for looking!
