Description Castrol HYSOL MB 50 is a water soluble fluid recommended for machining and grinding of all grades of aluminium as well as ferrous alloys. HYSOL MB 50 provides the performance of heavy duty soluble oils without the unpleasant shop environments and high usage rates of traditional fluids. HYSOL MB 50 is chlorine and sulfur-free, yet its performance exceeds products which contain these extreme pressure additives. The tight, stable emulsion of HYSOL MB 50 provides extended system life and product stability. Hysol MB 50 should not be used in machining cast iron. Consult your Castrol Account Manager for questions regarding compatibility Recommended Applications & Dilutions Grinding: 5 – 6% Machining: 5 – 10% Systems using HYSOL MB 50 should be maintained at a pH range of 9.8 – 9.3 by adding Balancer P4 if pH decreases. Maintenance of pH level is important to control biologically activity of coolant system. Concentration should be maintained at 5-10%. Addition of product concentrate in regular, standard additions will help maintain pH, bio-stability and additive levels.
