Up for auction is a late 70s Caterpillar D348 V12 engine attached to a 620KW SP4 generator. We are a engine rebuilding facility and a truck shop and this was a customers generator that we did head gaskets on and also a valve job, unit came in to us leaking/seeping antifreeze externally out of the head gaskets in the same spot on both sides. After job was done customer wanted to go another route with this and get an enclosed generator for there facility, money is not an option to them. The work we did was over 9k, they paid it and we have stored it since, approx. 3 years. The generator does run good and does produce power, I have no way to load the electrical or anything like that but it came out of a working aerospace facility. When we stored it we did drain the coolant system and flush it and also fogged the cylinders. We recently just got it up and running and put water only in it so it will need drained and a bunch of antifreeze put in. Does have a large electric block heater plumbed into it. Also comes with the switch gear for the power side of things which I did not get a pic of. Let me know if you need a pic of it.
