CEL Instruments model 231 digital sound survey meter This sound intensity survey meter has two switches; a hi/lo range switch (65-135 dB(A) or 30-100 dB(A)) and a fast/slow response switch. There's also a recessed calibration screw and a phono connector at the base. The unit takes four AAA batteries (not included). When borrowed batteries were inserted and the unit turned on it responded correctly to sound levels, though it wasn't tested for calibration. The previous owner stored these with batteries inserted, a few of which subsequently leaked; we've cleaned out the battery compartments and ensured that the battery contacts work but some stains may still be evident. This is cosmetic only, and not visible when the unit's cover is on. Auction Sales Policy We are a consignment seller and all items on auction are consignment items.
