This listing is for a VINTAGE IN ORIGINAL CASE, CENTRAL TOOL COMPANY UNIVERSAL DIAL TEST INDICATOR, NO. 260. The Outer of the Red Case is Fairly Trashed, meaning is shows quite a bit of dirt to the Red Leather. The Gold Embossed Print is also very faded. The "Gold Rim" edging on the outer Lid & the Hinges to the Case are GOOD, so the items inside are Safe & Secure. The Case closes evenly & tight--for some reason, the photo shows the Case not closed tightly, but it does. The Set inside appears to be COMPLETE. The items are in a Grey "Foam" type material that has hardened a bit with age, but the items fit snugly into the respective placements. We are told that the "Indicator Works." Otherwise, we could Not tell you what the parts are, so please look at the many excellent photos taken for you to have a good look at these items. Whoever had these completely "lubed" them & they are not only "greasy", meaning like "axel grease", they totally smell like one walked into a machine shop. Our hands became completely Greased & Black from handling the items, so please be forewarned! The items are as follows: The Dial has a tiny "dial" on the face. It is clean & readable. Printing Reads: CENTRAL TOOL COMPANY NO. 260 001. The Dial is 4" long; the actual Dial is 2" across, 7" & 3/4" thick. The "Red" Piece is very heavy, weighing well over 1lb; the "Red" is a heavy rubber material & has "grunge" on one side. It is 6" long; the top part is 2 1/4" long, 2" across, 6 1/2" around & 1" wide. There are 3 other Metal Pieces that come with the Kit. The Case has a Red Leather Outer; as mentioned, it is quite dirty with the writing being very faded. The Gold Print is very faded: CENTRAL TOOL COMPANY CRANSTON, RHODE ISLAND U.S.A.. The Case is 8" x 4" x 2 1/4". Vintage Dial Indicator with the Parts in the Original Case! Excellent Collectable!
