Draw amount of blood necessary for procedure. For larger procedures of greater area, draw at least 5cc of blood. 2. Note: Even with a difficult access vein, small amounts of blood, i.e. 1-2 cc will spin down to give you a good amount of PRF. 3. Place blood in Red Test Tube if you used a syringe to draw blood. Balance Test tube in the centrifuge with a test tube of equal amounts of water. 4. Spin blood for 13 minutes at 4000 RPM. Wait till the centrifuge comes to a complete stop before removal of the test tube. 5. Open cover of tube and remove the middle layer of PRF with college pliers. It has the consistency of a firm gel. Blood will come out with it clinging to it and that is fine. 6. Take the PRF and cut with a scalpel an amount to mix with the bone-autogenous or cadaver. Mix and pulverize this mixture until well mixed. It is now ready to use. 7. The remaining membrane can be pressed between two non-filled gauze and flatten well. This membrane can be used to place over surgical site to protect bone graft. Additional membrane-synthetic or bovine can be placed over this if deemed necessary.
