Up for sale is a New old stock Century Precision Ball-Bearing Equipped Honing Machine THIS IS A GREAT DEAL!! This machine is a table top machine. It was built for the Army in 1990. It have been sitting in it's create for over 23 years. As you can see from the pictures it is in like new condition. This machine is easy to set-up and operate. Both the water pump and the main motor run on 115v AC. It comes with everything you need to utilize all of it's designed capabilities. This Century machine is "heavy duty" compared to the Sunnen Hone machine because it has a larger spindle bearing than any shop automotive Sunnen Hone machine and the Sunnen hone mandrels will work in this Century Hone machine. Because it was built to be used by the Military it is Heavy Duty! The machine is designed to do the following: Hone bearings, bushings, cylinders of all kinds, to meet precision machining requirements. The machine functions as shop equipment in the diameter range of .480 to 3" without any special attachments. Special usage listing is as follows: Set ball bearings Finish ball bearings Valve bodies, hone inner lands Bushings, hone all types Cylinders (including step type) Small engine repairs Compressor remanufacturing shop Hone oxygen delivery equipment Hydraulic repair valves It can be used for either dry or wet honing of thru bores from .480 to 3" with normal tooling supplied with the machine. The machine is capable of honing internal cylindrical surfaces to an accuracy of 0.0001 inch for roundness and taper within a diameter size range as above. It can produce the finest finishes of superfinish 4 micro inches etc. or better with fine finishing stones included. It is equipped with feed and load controls with a dual range cutting pressure control.
