This offering is for 200g. of Ultra Purified CERROBEND (WOOD'S) METAL ALLOY with m.p. 158°F/70°C and extremely useful for casting metal objects in boiling hot water using plastic or metal molds.  Good for sealing metal holes, for sealing containers with metal lips, for holding odd shaped metal objects for machining and drilling, and for weighing objects with specific weight easily and quickly without the use of high temperatures. Also known as Lipowitz's Metal Alloy.  Will ship as 3 metal ingots totalling 100g. and similar but smaller than those seen in the photo (photo is for show of face of ingots and purity only).  Great for the Lab and excellent demo item for the classroom.  Shipping to the 50 states is $5.95 and to Canada, Europe, U.K. and Australasia is $12.95 with no tracking or insurance otherwise $24.50 by REGISTERED U.S. AIRMAIL INSURED.  Acceptable form of payment is Paypal unless prearranged with seller.  1000's of unique uses for Material Sciences and Inventors use.   - Daniel K./scientificos   P.S. > There are many sellers of so-called Wood's Metal on ebay at this time however if you purchase from them you will find that their metal doesn't melt anywhere near the 158°F/70°C mark.  The reasons can vary from poor mixing to too many inclusions of contaminants or too many remelts or simple misrepresentation of Rose's Metal alloy that melts just under the boiling point of water. We purify our alloy over 30X Times so that the true melting point is much nearer to the theoretical melting/freezing point of Wood's/Lipowitz's original formulation.  This costs us more and therefore the selling price reflects the nature of what we sell which isVery Pure Wood's Metal Alloy.  - d.K.a./scientificos
