CES-Landtec Landfill Control Technologies GEM 2000 Gas Analyzer For sale- a CES-Landtec Landfill Control Technologies GEM 2000 Gas Analyzer. I am guessing this is pretty much the entire system package. The only thing I don’t have to offer here is a manual, but you might find the info you need on the included Product Information, Instrument Software and USB Drivers disk. Or the CES-Landtec website. In addition to the instrument and the CD you get 3 calibration gas regulators as pictured, the GEM 2000 battery charger, the padded hard case, a smaller carrying case for the instrument, and the RS232 PC Communication Cable. Other parts may be required for operation, if so you will have to source them elsewhere. What you see and what I have is what, and all, you will get. When I picked the unit up I mentioned that I was really hoping it would at least power on, the woman said that the agency that turned it in said it was still in working condition but had been replaced by a new model. When powered up it automatically goes into a self-test mode which it passes. As you can see the start-up screen says the battery charge is low and that service and calibration are overdue (due 2/13). Other than that it looks like it is ready to go to work. I left it charging for an hour or so and the charge lamp started flashing, indicating it was fully charged, and when I powered it up again the battery warning had disappeared. Untested other than as described and pictured. Sold as is and NO warranty is offered. However, IF you pay the asking price and find it has a problem you cannot live with within 14 days of receipt you may return it. Returns are ONLY allowed on Buy It Now Purchases. Accepted Best Offers are strictly an as is sale, no returns allowed. Return would be for a refund of the purchase price, not including shipping costs. Just so that we are clear on that, this is an item that has not been thoroughly tested. As such it may work fine or it may have problems, so any purchase entails a certain degree of risk. If you Buy It Now your risk is limited to the shipping costs both ways. If you submit an offer you do so knowing that you cannot return it. In either case it is up to you to decide whether the risk level is acceptable to you, and if not you need to pass on this particular item. The clear cover over the display has a number of scratches that you can probably see in the pictures. The outside of the hard case is covered in old sticker remnants.
