This tool is made for holding a chain saw steady at a 90 degree (or other angles) when cutting logs to length. Set-up: The chain saw bar needs to have 2 mounting holes drilled to be bolted to the upper arm, and the angled lower part is fastened to a base with 3 lag bolts. This tool is sturdy and weighs almost 10 pounds. It was used once to construct a log home, it works great and is a good time saver. Size: the base is 4.5"x6", 4" high. The arm to be fastened to the chain saw blade is 3"x6"x3/4", it is partly milled down to 1/2" for chain clearance. It's a great tool when building a log home from random length logs. Charges at the Post Office have gone up, size and weight require Priority Mail shipping but you will have it in just a few days....
