Made to a very high specification, they feature hollow ground, parallel sided screwdriver tips for a perfect fit and to avoid marring your work. All tips are hardened to between Rockwell 52 and 55, depending on size, for optimum hardness and toughness. The bits feature a ball bearing for a snug fit and a knurled spinner which allows them to be used comfortably in the hand without a holder. This kit, No. 1316 All Purpose Kit, is an affordable set consisting of a soft case / pouch containing the famous Chapman Midget Ratchet plus 15 interchangeable insert bits. The fifteen insert bits are: - ten ALLEN HEX-TYPE INSERT BITS in the following sizes (size indicates distance across flats): 0.050", 1/16", 5/64", 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16", 7/32", 1/4" and 5/16" - two SLOTTED HEAD INSERT BITS in the following sizes (size indicates width of blade): 1/4" and 3/8" - two PHILLIPS HEAD INSERT BITS, a No.1 and a No.2 - one 1/4" SOCKET ADAPTER / SQUARE DRIVE ADAPTER For a long time these kits have been a favourite with gunsmiths, target shooters and precision engineers, but recently have been very difficult to obtain in the UK.
