Brand New, BLUE Aulektro lens, but lower right corner was chipped in transport. This is a damaged lens. It should not pose any issues if properly installed in the welding hood and should not present any problems with light flash or visual distortion IF properly placed in the welding hood with a good edge border. (However, If looking at sodium or fluorescent lighting, the yellow in the artificial light will transmit as a greenish color) **** AGAIN, PLEASE DON'T STARE AT A LIGHT BULB THAT'S INCANDESCENT, FLUORESCENT, OR OTHERWISE HAS A HIGH YELLOW/ORANGE SPECTRUM OUTPUT***** THE LENSES FILTER A VAST MAJORITY, BUT NOT ALL THE YELLOW/ORANGE WAVELENGTH... LOOKING AT YELLOW LIGHT WILL MAKE THE LENS APPEAR SLIGHTLY GREEN. THESE LENSES ARE FOR W-E-L-D-I-N-G... NOT LOOKING AT YOUR KITCHEN LIGHT BULB. (HOWEVER... THE BLUE DROP IN LENS WILL ELIMINATE THIS ISSUE IF YOU ACTUALLY "WANT" TO STARE AT LIGHT-BULBS ALL DAY BY FILTERING THE YELLOW FROM THE VISIBLE SPECTRUM) *PLEASE NOTE** These lenses are NOT ANSI Z87.1 APPROVED.
