I just spent over $700 to get this from overseas a little under 6 months ago. There is still another 6 months to go on the warranty. It is very versatile; I used it to temper chocolate using the seeding method as well as for melting dipping chocolate. The cool thing is that you can leave a huge amount of chocolate overnight and wake up with it melted to the right temperature, never having to worry about going past the recommended range.
