picture of actual item sold as is for parts or repair with no return Technology discription:  The infrared Radiometric System IRRIS-160ST and IRRIS-256ST is a very high sensitivity handheld IR camera. A temperature difference sensitivity of less than 0.020 degrees C Noise Equivalent Temperature Difference (NETD) is obtained in real time images with Indium Antimonide (InSb) Focal Plane Array (FPA). Minimum Resolvable Temperature Difference (MRTD) seen by the eye in the image has been measured to about 0.005 C. It is packaged with specialized processing electronics to create both real time video images and 12 bit digital information. Image picture resolution available from 160x120 and 256x256 array InSb sizes. The Stirling electrical closed cycle cooler eliminates needs for cryogenics liquids for cooling the detector for full sensitivity. Very nominal temperature differences are obvious in the image to allow the easier, earlier and or later identification of problems. Imaging is from afar and no sampling or contact is involved. Most problems can be seen in both day and night. Temperatures of objects can be measured from -45C to 300 C. Eyepiece configuration allows for easy mobile use and or the images can be displayed on a monitor. Remote control of the video image output is available with RS-422 or the handheld controller. The thermal signal used is in the 3 um to 5 um spectral window of the atmosphere. IRRIS cameras' sensitivity exceeds results obtained with commercially available 8 um to 12 um technology units and exceed their results obtained. IRRIS' advantage over 8 to 12 um systems is increased in high moisture atmospheric conditions, fog and rain. a similar camera with lower resolution teardown youtube video just google: watch?v=V_b4Gq3zIkc
