Lufkin 6 inch combo square. Here is a very nice 6 inch combination square from the famed Saginaw , Michigan Company. Remember , Lufkin has not made precision tools since 1967 when they were bought out by Pratt & Whitney. This square is exceptional The tempered 6 inch blade is has 16R graduations 32 , 64ths on one side and 50ths , 100ths on the other. The edge of the hardened square head still shows the original "LUFKIN Made in the USA Hardened" factory etching. This is usually long worn off. THere are only a few very minor chips in the original black wrinkle finish. THe absolute only flaw would be the name lightly engraved on one side of the head as seen in the pictures. It has been delacatly touched up and is hard to see unless your really looking for it. See pictures. Comes in original good condition box with origianl rust preventative paper and warranty paper. Overall I would grade this square a strong 8 on a 1-10 scale with 10 being new. A true survivor that would be a great addition to that restored oak chest.
