I have a complete setup for sale that is ready to cut today and cheap. I built this from a kit and probably have upwards of $3,000 - $4,000 invested just need to clear out my garage. I've cut quite a few items on this router and it's good for softer materials like pine wood, soft plastics like UHMW and PVC, styrafoam, etc. I built this about 2 years ago and its only occasionally been used. I've built a few routers before and for the price it doesn't get any better for this level of setup. This run uses 2 steppers for the X axis and 1 axis for the Y axis and 1 stepper for the Z axis. The X and Y axis were belt kits from Inventables (just do a internet search for Inventables CNC Router for more details). However, I did not get their cheaply built electronics or steppers but instead purchased Xylotex and got their Nema 23 Steppers (275 oz in) with 4 axis controller. This is a huge upgrade over the inexpensive kit offered by Inventables. Their X and Y axis use a specially designed aluminum extrusion and roller V-bearings. Here's the stats: X travel: Uses 2 stepper motors and is 42 inches Y Travel: 1 stepper motor and is 30 inches Z axis: 1 stepper motor and travel is 4 inches 42" x 30" x 4" travel Note: The Z axis is not part of the Inventables kit. This Z axis is a brand new NSK Linear Actuator with precision ball screw I machined a motor mount and adapter to this kit. Router on this kit is the Makita RT0701C which is 1.25 hp compact router which is variable speed from about 10,000 rpm to near 30,000 rpm. Its currently setup with a 1/4" collet but know they sell a 3/8" for this model. Great setup and really like this Makita router. Stepper Motors and Drives: Professionally built by Xylotex plus has the extenders for the wiring. This costs me near $475 - $500 with shipping. Software included: Includes driver software plus a basic design software that's good for items like engraving names, cutting circles, making borders, etc. Costs about $400 to $500 Makita router is mounted by a custom machined aluminum bracket purchased off the internet. Includes a dust gather that works with a ShopVac or similar setup. Frame uses 80/20 Aluminum and about 3 foot tall. There's easily $500+ worth of 80/20 aluminum and related brackets included in this frame. It needs a couple cross supports but even a couple 2x4's would work. Includes an older Dell computer and monitor. It's slow and I have another Dell computer in my garage I could also setup for this system which should be faster. The only item I would note is these Inventables are light weight kits. They are great for items like cutting software materials and engraving. However, please realize this is not a heavy duty CNC router. It will engrave on anything including metals but not capable of cutting steels. For the weekend builder that wants to make guitars, wooden signs, large engravings, etc. its a good setup. PICKUP ONLY IN FORT COLLINS, CO.  NO SHIPPING POSSIBLE ON THIS ITEM.
