This is a single wire gauge size 'A', 3-7/8"(OAL) x .234" diameter, Warrior brand, solid cobalt steel drill bit designed for tough drilling through ferrous metal and hardwood. These bits are comprised of solid M35, HSS-E high speed steel. This alloy incorporates 5% cobalt added to the standard M2 HSS mixture for increased heat resistance and durability through tough jobs in iron and milder steel. The 135° point is designed with a less aggressive bite than typical 118° wood bits, which will increase the life of the cutting edge and reduce heat during tough jobs, while the split point milling style provides a sure center pivot point that will resist any walking during the initial contact with material. They will retain integrity and hardness at temperatures up to 1000°F. As always, the items I sell are items that I use, and that I find to be of particular value. These drill bits come in every standard size and are the only cobalt bits I bother stocking. They can be sharpened with expected added difficulty of the hardened material. SAE/American sizes come in increments of 1/64" from 1/16" - 1/2" and gauged sizes from 1-60 and A-Z are also available, and at prices at or below the lowest quality bits at your hardware store. They cut cleanly and accurately without heat expansion giving you proper diameter size every time. My only word of advice for their use, is that if you are putting them in a drill press for working iron, be sure to use a lubricant oil, as should always be the practice. They, like any other bit, are prone to breaking and dulling in iron if no lubricant is present, and when I get a complaint about them, this is almost always the cause. With a little oil they cut like butter and stay sharp a good long while, like a cobalt bit should.
