This pre-measured inert 4 bottle 40 gram pyrogen kit contains enough pyrogen for making several hundred very hot burning, waterproof, reliable e-matches that fire off with as little as 1.6 amps @ 1.5 DC if used with our igniter our HTMF or MF series igniter wires.  The MF-KIT comes with everything you need, mixing stir, measuring pipette, funnel, clean up towel and very detailed step by step instructions.  Plus.... we are including a bag of 100 HTMF-12 inert e-match wires.      You can also use daveyfire style "chip type" e-match blanks.  This pyrogen, once mixed, will make up to 600 davyfire type B electric squibs.    We cannot ship these kits outside the US, sorry.   Feel free to ask me any questions you may have.  We have been in business since 1989. VERY IMPORTANT: You must be 18 years of age or older to purchase this pyrogen kit.  Below is a link to a video showing an HTMF-12 e-match being fired with a 9 volt battery in front of a 1/2 square paper grid back ground: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgB5vvJzj3U Below is the instruction sheet and MSDS for this pyrogen kit.  Please do not hesitate to ask a question.   MF-KIT INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING MagFire ELECTRIC MATCHES NOTE: For best results use only the HTMF, FS-12-LA or MF igniter wires with this pyrogen.  We do not recommend using this pyrogen to make rocket motor igniters.  *Ohm check all e-matches before dipping. CAUTION:  First and foremost think safety.  You should only mix these chemicals in a well ventilated area away from any heat source or sparks.  To maintain a good seal for long term storage keep the lid tight and sealing area free from any unused pyrogen.  The use of eye protection is highly recommended. Wear only cotton clothing and long sleeve shirt to protect your arms in case of a flash fire.  Never allow small children near these chemicals.  Always use a remote firing system when test firing.  Once mixed never store this product inside an inhabited area.  Store this product in an environment that will be maintained between -20 to 140 degrees F.  Wash hands thoroughly after each use.  *Resistance readings before dipping should be around 0.8 of an ohm (+) or (-) 0.2 of an ohm.  Dispose of any leftover unwanted pyrogen in accordance with all applicable laws.  This product contains magnesium powder, in the event of a fire, never attempt to extinguish!  Instead, run as far away as you can!  1.)  Shake the glass bottle containing the inactive grayish colored pyrogen (Bottle A) back and forth for several seconds then place the bottle on a flat level surface and remove the cap.  Using the provided wooden stir stick, stir the contents of this bottle until you achieve a smooth well mixed consistency.  2.)  Next, remove the cap from the plastic bottle containing the white powdery oxidizer.  (Bottle B) Then cut out the bottom of the provided paper cup about a 1/2 inch from the end and use this as a funnel.   Place the funnel on top of the glass jar containing the grayish colored inert pyrogen and begin to add 1/2 of the bottle at a time of the white oxidizer. Stir the oxidizer into the pyrogen using the provided wooden stir stick until completely emptied, try not to spill the contents of this bottle.  Some oxidizer may spill or remain inside of the plastic bottle this is okay as it has been compensated for.  Note: Add 2 or 3ml of MEK during this process to maintain proper consistency.   3.)  VERY IMPORTANT: The pyrogen should now have the consistency of Hershey’s chocolate syrup at room temperature.  When you remove the wooden stir stick, the pyrogen that is clinging to it should quickly run off.  If the pyrogen appears too thick, take the provided pipette and draw up 1ml of MEK thinner, (Bottle D) and add it to the mixture.  Keep adding 1ml of thinner at a time until the pyrogen reaches the proper consistency.  If you add too much thinner and the pyrogen becomes too thin or runny just leave the lid off of the bottle for as long as necessary while occasionally stirring the mixture until the pyrogen thickens to the right consistency.      4.)  Now take the electric match in your hand (do not unwrap it yet) and bend the protruding element end 45 degrees away from the main body of the wire lead, making a V shape.  Next, slowly lower the electric match head into the pyrogen until the pyrogen coats all of the exposed element wire. Now lift the electric match slowly out of the pyrogen.  Once you have cleared the pyrogen in the bottle gently shake the wire up and down in a rapid fashion to remove any excessive pyrogen making sure that you do not remove too much as it could become too thin and may fail to ignite. Note: If you observe more than two drops of pyrogen fall from the electric match during the dipping process the pyrogen is too thin.  Also, you should stir the pyrogen every few minutes during the dipping process to prevent the magnesium from settling to the bottom.  Lay the electric match down on the edge of a table so that the pyrogen coated end sticks out off the edge.  Cure out times average about a half hour (.5hr) depending on temperature and humidity. 5.)  CRITICAL: After first thoroughly mixing bottle C, repeat step (4) dipping process above but use the RED SEALER instead of the pyrogen.  Make sure you completely coat the pyrogen and part of the igniter lead wire with the red sealer so as to provide a water tight seal.  After dipping, place the electric match on the edge of shelf for at least a half hour (.5hr) to allow sufficient time for it to cure.      SPECIAL NOTE:  Because of the rapid burn rate, the MF electric match will require partial confinement when being test fired  in order to function properly.  For testing purposes we recommend you place it inside a 1/4 inch diameter plastic tube before test firing. The All-Fire rating is 1.6 amps @ 1.5 volts DC.       Instructions USA                MSDS FOR THIS PRODUCT IS LOCATED ON THE BACKSIDE OF THIS SHEET            (revised 11-26-13) MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET Date last revised 12/19/11                                       I.
